Authentis 02 - The most versatile of all
Manufactures in Germany by Spiegelau, this crystal glass has great brilliance and is highly shock resistant due to its flexibility.
Slightly heavy to hold, it remains, ton-the-less, and ideal choice for professionals and private consumers-especially due to its guarantee of 1500 dishwasher cycles without breakage.
This model is the big brother of the slightly smaller Expert Tasting glass, also from Spiegelau.
At tasting, ths glass performs well with virtually all wines; though some sparkling wines lose some finess of the bubbles. As for the whites; it was with Burgundian Chardonnay where the glass won many votes, as it presented the wine with great cleanness, both on the nose and palate. It size is an asset for red such as the North Rhone, placing fruit in the front not the alcohol.
