SAN PHMB does not have a corrosive effect on steel, nickel, aluminum, iron, enameled and galvanized iron, and tin cans; Copper darkens during prolonged contact with concentrated SAN PHMB solutions, therefore its use for copper in high concentrations and for a long period of time is not recommended. Glass rubber and synthetic rubber used in the food industry are not destroyed by SAN PHMB.
