Winterhalter UC-L Energy
After the end of the wash and rinse cycle, when the car door is opened, hot and wet steam is released. This is a valuable energy that simply “dissolves”.
The Energy Recovery System, specifically designed for the UC Series machines, makes it possible to turn steam energy into a valuable resource using a patented steam-water heat exchanger. After the rinsing stage, the hot steam is driven by a fan from the washing chamber of the machine to the heat exchanger through which the incoming cold water passes. Steam energy allows pre-warming cold water, which means the boiler needs less electricity to heat water to a predetermined temperature.
Reducing the energy consumption for heating the rinse water is up to 48% or 0.1 kW per wash cycle. For example, with 100 cycles of washing per day, energy saving will be 10 kW per day, for 360 days energy saving per year is 3,600 kW.
The second important advantage is the improvement of the climate around the machine, because after the operation of the recovery system the steam temperature is significantly reduced.
The third important advantage is a more gentle treatment of the bar made of natural wood. The machines with the Energy Recovery System are only connected to cold water.
